After attending workshop at the uLearn conference I was keen to give some of the ideas shared that resonated with me-
Things I'm implementing
- giving kids more ownership of their learning space, having them design and set out the layout of the classroom.
- acknowledging children's contribution to class discussions with a simple "thank you"
- giving students more wait time, so much that is becomes uncomfortable for me
- weekly class meetings, to talk about the week and plan the upcoming week
